Decca Told The Beatles They Had No Future
In 1962, Decca Records told The Beatles "guitar groups are on the way out" and they had "no future in show business." Two years later, they were the biggest band on the planet.

The Beatles were once told they had no future.
New Year's Day, 1962. Four young men from Liverpool walked into a London studio. An audition. For Decca Records. Britain's biggest label.
Fifteen songs. Then they went home to wait.
A month later, the verdict: "Guitar groups are on the way out." "The Beatles have no future in show business."
Decca signed another band. They were wrong about everything.
Two years later, the biggest band on the planet.
